Card information

The Domestic Electrician ECS gold card is for Level 3 competency based skilled individuals who work unsupervised to install and maintain electrical services within a domestic setting. 

The gold card shows that the cardholder has completed a formal industry regulated competency based qualification, which includes technical theory with practical and competency assessments for this specific occupational route in a domestic setting only.

Eligibility and requirements

To be eligible for an ECS Domestic Electrician gold card, applicants must meet the following criteria and provide proof of:

  1. A JIB recognised Level 3 Apprenticeship standard (England) for Domestic Electricians OR
  2. The Level 3 Electrotechnical in Dwellings Experienced Worker Assessment 
AND
 
  • Hold a current ECS Health, Safety and Environmental Assessment. For details visit the HS&E Assessment page
