The ECS Lecturer and ECS Work-based Assessor cards are for qualified college lecturers and work-based assessors to recognise teaching and assessment qualifications. 

This ECS occupation provides a method of identifying the industry and teaching qualification of the staff directly involved in training and assessing of apprentices and other trainees within the Electrotechnical industry.
These ECS occupations can be added, individually or together, to a new ECS card or to an existing ECS Gold card as additional occupation/s.

This card is for lecturers and work-based assessor working for a training provider that hold formal teaching and/ or assessor qualifications and have their training provider’s endorsement. 
 

Eligibility and requirements

To be eligible for an ECS Lecturer and/ or ECS Work-based Assessor (White) card, applicants must meet the following criteria and provide proof of:
A formal teaching or Assessor qualification such as:

  • For the Teacher occupation
    • City & Guilds 7307
    • Certificate in Education – Cert Ed
    • Post Grad Certificate in Education – PGCE
    • Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector Level 5 – DTLLS
  • For the Assessor occupation
    • Award in vocational assessing A1/A2 (previously D32/33)
    • Level 3 certificate or above in assessing vocational achievement
    • Level 3 award or above in assessing competence in the workplace
