Card data: All cards display Card identity number name and photograph.  The holder’s main occupation and up to five additional occupations in which the holder is certified are shown on the card front, together with appropriate JIB Grade (where applicable);   The holder’s signature, together with the route by which certification has been achieved  are printed on the back - additional vocational holders qualifications (such as 17th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations) may be printed where these are held.

Who should apply:

  • Those operatives who do not meet the appropriate technical or vocational standards to qualify for a skilled ECS card (and who are not Apprentices, Trainees or Managers).

  • Should know the requirements of BS7671 for electrical safety; have an understanding of safety issues, effective working relationships and installation of fire protection systems
