Cabling - Level 3

Card information

The Cabling card (white with gold stripe) is for VQ Level 3 skilled individuals who work unsupervised and have experience as part of a cable gang laying all types of cables, embrace the proper handling and cleating of the cable together with acceptable spacings and clipping placing requirements. 

This card is for skilled workers that have completed a formal industry regulated competency-based qualification, which includes technical theory with practical and competency assessments.

Bespoke Electrical Training are providing the NVQ Level 3 Power Supply and Distribution Cabling qualification for both Cable Installation and Cable Jointing pathways. 

Eligibility and requirements

ECS Cabling - Leading Cable Hand
To be eligible for an ECS Cabling – Leading Cable Hand (white with gold stripe) card, applicants must meet the following criteria and provide proof of:

• NVQ Level 3 Electrotechnical Services (Installing and Inspecting Structured Cabling Systems,

– or –

• VQ Level 3 for Power Supply and Distribution Cabling (Cable Installation Pathway)

– and –

• Hold a current (up-to-date) Health & Safety Certificate or recognised H&S qualification. For details visit the ECS H&S test information area.

ECS Cabling - Cable Forman
To be eligible for an ECS Cabling – Cable Forman (white with gold stripe) card, applicants must have: 

• fully met the requirements of ECS Cabling – leading Cable Hand (white with gold stripe) card and held the card for a minimum of 3 years.

– and –

• Have an employer endorsement

– and –

• Hold a current (up-to-date) Health & Safety Certificate or recognised H&S qualification. For details visit the ECS H&S test information area.

ECS Cabling - Cable Installation Supervisor
To be eligible for an ECS Cabling – Cable Installation Supervisor (white with gold stripe) card, applicants must have: 

• fully met the requirements of ECS Cabling – Cable Forman (white with gold stripe) card and held the card for a minimum of 5 years.

– and –

• Have an employer endorsement

– and –
