ECS cards for all types of learner

Did you know as well as the ECS apprentice card, there are also cards for industry placement students, trainees and, if you deliver the assessment, for The Electrotechnical Experienced Worker Assessment programme?

Working with us

The most beneficial way of working with the ECS and JIB is to become a JIB Registered Provider or, if you wish to gain greater benefits, a JIB Preferred Provider.

More than 75 colleges and training providers across the UK are registered with the JIB to access ECS online services and give their learners the best start in their career.

This gives colleges and providers the ability to access ECS Health, Safety and Environmental assessments, technical assessments for specialist sectors, and apply for ECS cards for learners to ensure people are able to quickly access workplaces when needed.

Registering apprentices with the JIB offers a great package of benefits for the provider, employer and apprentice including:

  • An initial ECS card (apprentice, trainee or industry placement)
  • Further apprentice cards for stage progression
  • A gold card on completion of apprenticeship or trainee route
  • Safe Isolation Cards and Warning Tags
  • Access to the JIB handtool replacement scheme
  • Access to the JIB Skills Development Fund (for apprentices)
  • Advice and support on employment issues from the JIB Industrial Relations team
