Applicants for the Datacomms Manager card must have met the requirements of the Certified Telecommunications Project Manager (CTPM) with at least 3 years’ experience.
A Datacomms Manager is typically responsible for complex infrastructure projects, particularly in the datacentre environment, with a focus on pure project management activities. The role will include the management of customer relationships, through routine briefings and project meetings and the workforce, to complete the project, and includes monitoring and maintaining project progress with effective risk management and issue resolution.
Eligibility and requirements
To be eligible for an ECS Datacomms Manager (CTPM) card, applicants must:
- Provide a detailed employer reference, confirming experience in project management
- Hold the BTEC Level 4 Professional Award - Certified Telecommunications Project Manager (CTPM)
- Hold a current ECS Health, Safety and Environmental Assessment. For details visit the ECS H&S Assessment page
Note: For both Initial and renewal applications the CNPM qualification must be in date.
