The ECS Digital Network Engineer card is for those who manage, build, maintain virtual and physical networks and offer technical support as necessary across nework, data and telecoms environments. A Digital Network Engineer will be expected to interpret technical information, understand organisational requirements and expectations, deliver a legislatively compliant solution for both hardware and software issues. 

Eligibility and requirements

To be eligible for the Digital Network Engineer occupation, an applicant must meet the following criteria: 

  • Level 4 or above apprenticeship standard as a Network Engineer, or
  • Hold a relevant academic qualification such as HNC, HND, degree or higher qualification in a relevant discipline
