The broad purpose of the Signal Distribution Specialist role is to install, maintain, operate or repair electrical and electronic signal or aerial reception services for seamless connectivity and optimal signal support.

The Signal Distribution Specialist card is available for those who have qualified at a Level 2 through the relevant vocational qualification for aerial and satellite installation, signal reception and distribution. 



 

Eligibility and requirements

To be eligible for an ECS Signal Distribution Specialist card, you must have successfully completed one of the following:

  • NVQ Level 2 in Electrical and Electronics Servicing (City & Guilds 1687) - Signal Reception Pathway, or
  • An NVQ Level 2 in Aerial and Satellite Installation or equivalent, or
  • CAI Diploma in Signal Reception
