The Telecommunications Field Operative card is available for those who are working in a supervised role, or as part of a team, in the telecoms industry to support the build, installation, maintenance and repair of telecoms systems for businesses and households. The person will have qualified at a technical Level 2 or above in telecommunications, but have not yet achieved vocational assessments, apprenticeship or equivalent.
Eligibility and requirements
To be eligible for an ECS Telecommunications Field Operative card, applicants must meet the following criteria:
1. You must have successfully completed one of the following:
- Level 2 or above technical qualifications in telecommunications such as:
- Diploma in Professional Competence for IT and Telecoms Professionals
- Telecommunications Technical / Technicians Certificate
- Certificate in Telecoms Test Equipment
- Award in DC Electrical Installations in the Telecoms Industry
2. Hold a current ECS Health, Safety and Environmental Assessment. For details visit the ECS H&S Assessment page.
