CSCS Smart Check: Further features arriving in March

The new CSCS Smart Check app, launched on 1st April 2022, represented a major step forward in building quality in safety. Phase 2 of the app’s development will be rolled out in March 2023.
New features will include:
- IT Partner Integration
- Management Information
- Card read history/auditing reports or similar
- GPS locations – reporting insights
The CSCS Smart Check app allows all 2.1 million cards in the construction industry displaying the CSCS logo to be verified using a single app. Available on the App Store and Google Play, CSCS Smart Check allows all cards with a CSCS logo – both physical and virtual – to be checked using either QR codes, contactless or manual input.
Having one app to check all physical and virtual cards at site gates, or on project entry, will introduce greater efficiencies for employers and those responsible for checking cards on site. It does not matter which scheme card turns up at the site gates, from asbestos to welding, if it displays a CSCS logo it will be compatible with CSCS Smart Check.
