On 7th July we sent an invitation for Gold Card holders to apply for a Shell sponsored City & Guilds training delivered Super-fast EV charging installation course.
We were delighted by the level of interest in this course and have now contacted the lucky 6 winners who will attend this course in the last week of September.
With the UK government's firm commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050, the adoption of EVs is expected to experience exponential growth in the coming years.
As the number of EV cars continues to rise, there is a pressing need to rapidly expand the electrical vehicle charging (EV charging) infrastructure throughout the UK. The goal is to establish 500,000 charge points across the country's network by 2030.
We will work closely with City & Guilds to continue promoting opportunities for Gold Card holders to attend EV Charging design and installation courses and become fully qualified as we believe that the demand for qualified electricians capable of installing and maintaining EV charge points will increase in the coming months and years.
