IFSEC & FIREX International

31 May 23

The ECS and JIB enjoyed another successful three days at this year’s IFSEC and FIREX International, on 16th-18th May at ExCeL London. Celebrating its 50th anniversary, this was the busiest IFSEC and FIREX yet and it was great to see so many people in attendance and visiting the ECS/JIB stand to discuss everything from ECS cards to apprenticeships.

Thanks to Trevor Jenks, SSAIB National Training Manager, and Tom Brookes, Chairman of the Fire and Security Association, for joining Andy Reakes, JIB Director of Growth and Development, in an engaging panel discussion on raising standards and competence in the fire and security industry.

During the session, the panel addressed some of the most recent developments in this sector, how digital systems are making it easier for companies to navigate the process and ensure their workforce is fully qualified and competent.

Andy Reakes took part in a preview interview for the show, in which he highlighted the need for clearer routes for career progression and the development of Experienced Worker Assessments. The full interview can be read here.

Next year’s IFSEC and FIREX International will take place on 2nd-4th December 2024 at ExCeL London.
