Join the ECS and JIB at IFSEC & FIREX International 2023

27 April 23

IFSEC & FIREX International takes place on 16-18 May 2023 at London’s ExCeL, providing the largest gathering of security and fire installers and integrators, end-users, distributors and manufacturers.

Drawing attendees from all over Europe, IFSEC and FIREX aims to give opportunity to access high-quality curated content, product launches and live demos. Visit the JIB and ECS on stand FI1844 to learn more about some of the system improvements and new digital systems to enhance value for individuals and employers alike, including:

·       ECS Check for Clients and the Supply Chain – a smart digital platform that allow clients, contractors, agencies, and others to verify the status of electrotechnical workers, and a Licence to Practise System in Northern Ireland.

·       Remote Invigilation – a cost-effective and time sensitive way of assessing individuals’ current levels of knowledge without them having to visit an assessment centre.

·       CSCS Smart Check – the simple to use, free to access system to verify people coming on to sites and a big step up in terms of promoting the importance of competence.

·       Experienced Worker Assessments – updating the assessments through the awarding organisations to align them to the apprenticeship and new technologies.

·       MyCPD – helping individuals to evidence best practice and CPD – to recognise training that meets standards and impart the skills needed.

Andy Reakes, Director of Growth and Development, JIB & ECS, will be appearing in a panel discussion alongside Trevor Jenks, SSAIB National Training Manager, and Tom Brookes, Chairman of the Fire and Security Association. The discussion, titled “Raising standards and competence in the fire and security industry”, takes place at 3pm on Wednesday 17th May in the Fire Expertise & Guidance Theatre, FIREX. During the session, Andy will address some of the most recent developments in this sector, how digital systems are making it easier for companies to navigate the process and ensure their workforce is fully qualified and competent. By taking early action and investing in their workers’ training, businesses can improve their bottom line and gain a competitive advantage in the industry.
