New ECS Check service on show at UK Construction Week

08 August 18

Building Tech Live, Stand BT163
UK Construction Week, NEC Birmingham 09-11 October 2018

The Electrotechnical Certification Scheme (ECS) will be demonstrating its new ECS Check service on stand BT163 at this year’s Building Tech Live within UK Construction Week.

This innovative online system allows main contractors and clients to verify the skills and qualifications of electrotechnical personnel working on their construction projects. Via the ECS Check portal, companies can validate the electrical workforce and produce electronic summaries for auditing and reporting. The interactive ECS Check app allows them to verify personnel on site and conduct device-to-device verification using the cardholder’s MyECS app.

David Thomas, Strategic Development Manager at ECS will be explaining the principles and benefits of ECS Check in his presentation on Tuesday 09 October at 12:45 in the ECA/Voltimum Building Tech Live Theatre, Hall 12.

Visitors to the stand can also find out more about ECS Employer Portal, ECS cards and ECS Registered Electrician the recently-launched initiative which has so far seen over 11,000 electricians opt to highlight their commitment to their skills and training.

ECS is the skills certification scheme for electrotechnical operatives in the UK. The scheme is a partner of CSCS and covers not only core electrotechnical occupations but also specialised industries such as building controls, data communications, highway electrical and fire & security.
