Pre-apprentice cards for school leavers

With the summer holidays approaching many school leavers will be considering their next move, whether it’s going to college, finding a job or pursuing an apprenticeship.

Potential apprentices will usually start their employment via a recognised training provider or through local contacts with an employer. Some companies may offer trial periods of work to potential apprentices to ensure that they understand the reality of working on site, the expectations of the company and allow the company to gain a better understanding of the individual and their work ethic.

For school leavers thinking about a career in the electrotechnical industry, the ECS Pre-apprentice card is designed to support employers and potential apprentices in achieving a successful probationary period before the full apprentice registration is made by the training provider.
