The Electrotechnical Certification Scheme is the sole ID and competence card scheme for electrotechnical operatives in the UK and it's recognised and endorsed by the industry.

Holding an ECS card proves your qualification status, main occupation and identity, as well as your health and safety awareness. It also shows any additional disciplines in which you are skilled to work. The ECS is a partner of CSCS and covers not just core electrotechnical occupations, but specialised industries such as building controls, network infrastructure, highway electrical, audio-visual, and fire & security.

MyECS is the free-to-download virtual card app giving you quick access to all your ECS card information. This ensures you get access to projects quickly and simply, keeping you informed with your application, renewals or changes which may affect you.

The application gives you access to a QR code for real-time checking of your ECS card, which is an essential part of checks to access construction projects and sites across the UK built environment. The MyECS app is fully compatible with CSCS Smart Check as part of the UK-wide system for checking all 2 million plus CSCS partner cards.
