FESS Systems Operative

Card information

The ECS Fire, Emergency and Security Systems (FESS) Systems Operative card is for people working in the FESS industry as a specialist installer or maintainer of FESS systems.

Some people holding this card, and have relevant industry experience, may go on to apply for an ECS FESS gold card as a Systems Technician after completing the industry FESS Experienced Worker Assessment.

Eligibility and requirements

To be eligible for this card, applicants must meet the following criteria:

1. Hold the ECS Fire, Emergency and Security Systems (FESS) assessment in the industry sector discipline you are applying for:

• Fire
• Fire & Emergency Lighting
• Fire & Security
• Security

OR

2. Have completed one of the recognised qualification routes in the attached document (currently only for the Fire Pathway)


PLUS

3. Hold a current ECS Health, Safety and Environmental Assessment.
